What is the Immaculate Edit?

Buffy: The Immaculate Edit is a project to recut the iconic TV drama Buffy to limit sexually explicit scenes from the show, remove references to Willow's homosexuality, and algorithmically restore the 4:3 version of the show into HD (without overly smoothing the image like the 16:9 remaster). This edit does its best to preserve the storyline of each episode while expunging these elements.

Who is it for?

The Immaculate Edit is for those who 1) have legal access to copies of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, 2) find that the clever dialogue, sincere characters, and clever worldbuilding of the show is worth watching, but 3) would prefer to avoid parts of the show which contain morally objectionable content. 

Buffy is a landmark show in progressive ideology, as a result the Venn diagram of people who like the show but who also like the idea of editing it will be quite small. However, the domain for this website is around ten bucks a year (so I'm fine if only a few people have an interest in something like this).

Isn't this censorship?
